Camp Stardust prologue
Mark Rosen’s eyes snapped open at the feeling of his sister jumping up and down on his bed. “You couldn’t give me five more minutes, Viv?” he asked the younger girl as he sat up. Vivian Rosen grinned at her brother’s bedhead, his green hair contrasting her own pink-ish purple. “Not this time, big bro,” she beamed, giving him an affectionate hug, “We have a visitor! And she said she wanted to meet ya!” “Me?” Mark pointed to himself in confusion. Vivian’s eager nod was all that was needed to get him to roll out of bed. Quickly changing out of his pajamas into his usual white shirt, red vest and blue jeans, Mark stepped out of the bedroom he and his sister shared. “Mom? Vivian said someone wanted to see me?” he called out. “In the living room, sweetie,” a woman’s voice replied from the room in question. The Rosens’ apartment was not terribly large, but it wasn’t cramped either as it had enough space for two bedrooms, a kitchen and living room. Mark made his way down the short hallway

The Haunted Mansion: The Reign of Boo Ch. 1
Evelyn Halloway was jolted awake by the combination of her phone vibrating and emitting a loud alarm noise. “Ngh, five more minutes…” the sixteen-year-old grumbled, still half-asleep. She blindly reached out to push the “Snooze” button on the phone, her vision blocked by the comforter and pillow. Throwing the large blanket aside, she revealed her frizzled red hair and annoyed looking expression. Hitting the button, the alarm stopped and she sat up. Her poster of Boris Karloff as the Mummy greeted her sight like every morning. “Morning, Boris,” she muttered as she rolled out of bed and headed to the connecting bathroom to freshen up. Instead of being disturbed by the sight, she found it quite reassuring - maybe because it reminded her that she didn’t have to worry about getting heavy layers of makeup put on every day, like Karloff did while playing the Mummy or Frankenstein’s monster. That, or because she was just a fan of movie monsters and creepy, paranormal stuff in general. She
